Hong Seung Han (Hangul: 홍승한), also known by his stage name Seunghan (Hangul: 승한), is a South Korean singer under SM Entertainment. He is a former member of the South Korean boy group RIIZE, and graduated member of SM Rookies.

He is set to debut as a soloist in 2025.

Career

2022: SMROOKIES

On July 2, 2022, Seunghan, alongside Eunseok and Shohei, were revealed as the newest members of SM Entertainment's trainee team SM Rookies.

2023-2024: RIIZE

On May 24, 2023, SM announced that Seunghan would be debuting in their upcoming boy group. On August 1, 2023, Seunghan was officially introduced as a member of RIIZE.

They debuted on September 4, 2023 with their first single album Get A Guitar.

On October 10, after a year-long hiatus, Wizard Production, the SM Entertainment the division in charge of managing the group, announced that Seunghan would resume his activities with RIIZE starting November. However, following this announcement there were extreme reactions from some fans who sent death threats and over 1000 funeral wreaths with Seunghan's name on them to the SM Entertainment building to protest his return. Following this, on October 13, Wizard Production released a new statement explaining that Seunghan would leave the group.

Due to the extreme reaction and funeral wreath display by primarily domestic fans of the group, international fans are engaging in an ongoing boycott of RIIZE, with over 300 k-pop stores worldwide halting all stocks and sales of RIIZE products. They advise the boycott demands justice for the unfair removal of Seunghan from the group and that legal action be taken against those who sent the funeral wreaths, whilst also advocating for his return to the group.

On November 15, SM Entertainment announced Seunghan will make his solo debut in the second half of 2025. However, international fans and stores continue the boycott of RIIZE, advising that it will continue until justice is taken against those who sent the funeral wreaths.

Hiatus

On November 21, 2023, a statement was released which announced Seunghan would take an indefinite hiatus from all RIIZE activities until further notice, after private photos from his past had circulated online.

On October 10, 2024, after a year-long hiatus, SM Entertainment announced that Seunghan would resume his activities with RIIZE starting November.
